Shotgun Rider.
I’m riding with my six-gun
My six-gun by my side
My rifle and my saddle
To regain the pride
That I lost, along the Chisholm Trail

Oh the Chisholm trail
Is a sheriffs hell
And a bandits paradise
Where a man can search far and wide
And only blind his eyes

Well I was shotgun rider
On the westbound stage
On the homeward journey
Man was I afraid
When we were held up, along the Chisholm Trail

Oh the Chisholm trail
Is a sheriffs hell
And a bandits paradise
Where a man can search far and wide
And only blind his eyes

The hole in the wall gang held us up
Shot my stagecoach buddy
Now I’m back with a posse strong
This fight is gonna be bloody
We’ll wipe these bandits out, make safe the Chisholm Trail

Oh the Chisholm trail
Is a sheriffs hell
And a bandits paradise
Where a man can search far and wide
And only blind his eyes
